The objective of Briefing
For Industry 2010 is to provide a timely update to the government
contracting community on upcoming and proposed acquisitions
from the many and varied
Federal organizations operating in New Mexico. It covers RDT&E work as well
as O&M, Maintenance and related acquisitions. It provides a forum for
potential bidders to gain knowledge and insights for a successful bid. It
accomplishes this objective by providing thorough and comprehensive
presentations by these organizations. In addition, the BFI offers ample
opportunities to talk directly with the presenters about their programs.
With typical attendance in
excess of 400 people, it's also an excellent opportunity to meet with
industry counterparts. In accomplishing this objective, the BFI helps enhance
awareness of opportunities, stimulates competition, and facilitates
collaboration and teaming arrangements.
BFI 2010 expects
participation from a wide range of organizations, including Air Force
Research Laboratory (all directorates);
Department of Energy; DoD
High Energy Laser Joint Technology Office; Los Alamos National Laboratory;
NASA's White Sands Test Facility; Sandia National
Laboratories; Space and Missile Systems Center -- Space Development and Test
Wing; White Sands Missile Range; the 46th Test Group; and Army Research
Laboratory.
The Professional Aerospace Contractors
Association (PACA) of New Mexico was founded in 1984 to promote a
healthy and vigorous relationship between the aerospace industry and Government
agencies in New Mexico. Since then, it has become widely recognized and used by
all Government agencies in the area as a forum for interaction with industry.
From its modest beginning, it has grown to a membership of over 150 aerospace,
defense, and related professionals, representing virtually every element of the
aerospace and defense industry. Members come from both large and small
businesses, as well as minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged businesses.
